About Blunk Space

Expertise/ Contemporary and historical art and design influenced by JB Blunk (1926-2002)

Blunk Space was established by the Estate of the pioneering Northern California artist JB Blunk (1926–2002), and serves as a platform for contemporary and historical art and design influenced by Blunk’s practice. The gallery enables an ongoing exploration of Blunk’s creative legacy and influence by giving exhibiting artists access to the Estate’s extensive archive and permanent collection, and to the Blunk House, Blunk’s iconic handmade home in Inverness, California. The new work emerging from these collaborations across time and disciplines renders Blunk’s legacy vital and engaging.
