Galerie Desprez-Breheret

The Desprez Breheret gallery, founded nearly 20 years ago by Helene Breheret and Benjamin Desprez, is located in the Louvre district near the Palais Royal and the Pinault Foundation. The gallery specializes in the historic design of the 20th century with a predilection for pieces by designers and artists such as Charlotte Perriand, Joseph Savina, Pierre Paulin, Isamu Noguchi, Ingo Maurer ... whose rarest creations Helene and Benjamin love. The gallery also represents contemporary creators such as the designer Kalou Dubus, but also the American sculptor Dan Pollock, whose work it presents exclusively. Monoxyle and singular furniture carved from dead wood collected in the Californian desert and in an eco-responsible approach. The gallery specializes in the work of Jean Touret and the Artisans de Marolles,to whom Helene and Benjamin collaborated to the first monograph with their archives, as well as the textile artist Thomas Gleb. It has respectively devoted 2 recent exhibitions to them in close collaboration with the families of the artists. The gallery is always on the lookout for underrated artists and designers’ studios for whom it likes to work for recognition. Helene and Benjamin pay particular attention to the development of natural materials such as wood, earthenware, textiles or wrought iron. Their desire is to magnify the craftsmanship and traditional know-how The gallery is renowned for staging all these signatures within its walls, at fairs or with their collector clients in a universe that is always neat, with a sober and balanced aesthetic from which a real identity emerges. It has also been rewarded twice, once for the best design object and a second time for the best stand (PAD 2019 & PAD 2022).
