Franz West
Galerie Eva Presenhuber presents a curated selection of furniture by the Austrian artist Franz West (1947 – 2012 in Vienna), including both unique pieces created during the artist's lifetime and furniture manufactured after his passing in 2012. In the mid-70s, Franz West began rejecting the traditionally passive way of experiencing art and started making what he called Passstücke (Adaptives).

Galerie Eva Presenhuber, a premier contemporary art gallery in Zurich and Vienna, fosters pivotal dialogues in painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Established by Austrian-born Eva Presenhuber, it emerged from her directorship at Galerie Walcheturm in 1989, where she cultivated Swiss talents like Fischli, Weiss, Rondinone, Fischer, and Schnyder. Presenhuber's visionary approach extended globally, debuting international luminaries like Williams, Kilimnik, Gordon, Höfer, and Bulloch in Switzerland. Following a partnership with Hauser & Wirth, she founded her eponymous gallery in 2003, steadfastly nurturing the careers of her protégés.
