Inspired in Barcelona x Il·lacions Gallery

Inspired in Barcelona® is a platform to promote creative talent and design inspired in Barcelona with an international scope. Powered by the Barcelona Design centre, the platform is aimed to promote creative production from brands and professionals as well as inspiring emerging projects, and to disseminate content about the potential of the local creative industries in the global scene. The Il·lacions design gallery (2011) is the first gallery in Barcelona dedicated exclusively to 21st century local design. Its purpose is to create value and bring visibility to the more than 70 creators with whom it collaborates, showing their furniture and objects –unique pieces or limited series– in temporary exhibitions, international fairs and in its permanent collection. Il·lacions also produces projects linked to design and creativity, contributing all its collective intelligence to private projects and spin-offs. The gallery’s other activities include exhibition curation, collection consultancy, editing and production of furniture and objects, R&D, book publishing and design residencies. It was recently awarded the FAD 2023 AWARD “for blurring the border between art and design and for representing the most artistic side of all the professions of contemporary design, architecture and craftsmanship”. Barcelona Design Centre The BcD – Barcelona Design Centre (1973) is the promotional design entity in Barcelona. It works to support innovation, creative talent and the promotion of Barcelona design worldwide. It understands design as a factor of transformation for competitiveness, sustainability and a positive impact on society, and contributes to making the brand an international benchmark in design. The Barcelona Design Centre is the founder and organizer of the Barcelona Design Week® and the Inspired in Barcelona® platform. Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub) - Barcelona City Council The Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub) is the reference space for the recognition and promotion of the Creative Industries, as well as for the dissemination of design heritage and culture. A dynamic and transformative facility where promotional activities are deployed in the fields of design, architecture, innovation, and technology. It also welcomes and supports creative talent, working with training centres, creators, and business entities on a local and international scale.
