Design Miami 2.0

Curated by Glenn Adamson, Design Miami 2.0 is a museum-quality showcase of eight international design studios. Each will present a capsule collection of new work in a sculptural way. The title, meanwhile, is a double entendre: a cheeky nod to the anniversary that also suggests a reboot. The presentation also resonates with our annual theme – Make. Believe. – serving as a statement of purpose about the continuing power of imaginative design, and the importance of the fair as a platform for creativity.

A presentation of “molded carpet” works transforms humble synthetic carpeting into sculptural forms that blur the boundaries between art, furniture, and fantasy.

KAMEH

Nomadism of the Soul embodies the movement and search of the soul through charred wooden sculptures and stone forms that evoke fleeting time and transient paths.

The collection showcases small refinements and renewed enthusiasm. Milling shavings are repurposed in the Meltingpot tables, the Staple forms a soap-like rounded table and stool, and the Gestalt, from low-resolution printing and 3D bending of stainless steel, reveals more of the background than itself.

Mehdi Dahkli

The Muravey Chair draws its inspiration from Wassily Kandinsky's Loses Im Rot (1925). It features a structure with three legs: two at the front and one at the back. Named after the Russian word for "ant," it is a modern take on the original Sidi Bou Chair, crafted from Pink Ivory wood and upholstered in C&C Milano Peru bouclé fabric.

Stephen Burks Man Made in collaboration with ALPI

The Lost Cloth Object translates Kuba textile traditions into contemporary wood design, fusing handmade patterns with advanced marquetry to create functional pieces that honor heritage while imagining new expressions.

TF Design

The Orbit Collection is a bronze series exploring celestial movement, sculptural form, and tactile permanence, merging functionality with contemplative design.

The Land of Light II is a sculptural series that embodies human qualities through mythological forms, offering functional companions that preserve inner light and resilience in a changing world.
