Water, through the passage of pure experimentation, is at the core of Terminal 01, the Design Miami architectural installation created in a collaboration between Kohler, Dr. Samuel Ross, and his industrial design studio SR_A. Terminal 01 aims to reinvent our daily engagements with water and hygiene. Through the language of movement, acoustics, curiosity, questioning, and exploration-shared attributes of the sensory human experience-this concept is best excited through physical space. Through Terminal 01, you are granted a sense of touch, an exploration of curiosity, to control and affect the flow and intensity of water that moves through Formation 01, the Kohler x SR_A faucet debuting at Design Miami. Radical. Innovative. Refined. Our unique water flow, unmistakable Haptic orange color, material composition, and cast tooling engineered to produce Formation 01 have been developed within the Kohler x SR_A industrial design studios between London, England, and Kohler, Wisconsin. Our visual language is inspired by industrial processes, modernist architecture, and color expression across design-forward cities around the world. The medium of architecture and body movement remains a core tenet of Kohler x SR_A, reflecting the essential movement of water through modernity. Radically redefining moving water, experience Terminal 01 and its centerpiece Formation 01, the result of the inaugural Kohler x SR_A collaboration with creative visionary Samuel Ross.
