Recreating a smoking room, Ketabi Bourdet’s exhibition explores the radical side of the 1980s. A selection of minimal designs is presented, with a focus on black aesthetics, metal, and geometrical lines, underlining how postmodern furniture can coexist with classic architecture and rich decor.

About Ketabi Bourdet Design

Expertise/ Fine 1980's furniture

Ketabi Bourdet is a contemporary art & design gallery founded by Paul Bourdet and Charlotte Ketabi in 2019. The space is located in the heart of Paris in St Germain des Près. Our design program mainly focuses on the 1980/90s with an emphasis on French design. We promote designers such as Philippe Starck, Martin Szekely, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Rei Kawakubo or Paolo Pallucco. The gallery also shows contemporary design working with Tim Leclabart, Maxime Louis-Courcier and Elizabeth Garouste. As a design and an art gallery, we have a special affinity with sculptural rather than functional pieces.
