Carmen D’Apollonio

Exhibited at Podium: Shanghai 2021 Marking Carmen D’Apollonio’s debut presentation in her home country of Switzerland, this presentation includes a large-scale bronze planter from D’Apollonio’s latest body of work, the culmination of a material investigation that has been in development for over two years. D’Apollonio’s process begins with sketching, which she then translates into clay and then to bronze—evolving the three-dimensional form as she goes. “Whatever I want to do, I do,” she states.
