Rudy Weissenberg

Flamer by Mike Curato

$200.00

Exhibited at DESIGN MIAMI. 2023 Created exclusively for the The Book of Love fundraiser for the Books & Books Literary Foundation, this limited-edition print features Rudy Weissenberg’s original artwork celebrating Flamer by Mike Curato, one of hundreds of beloved titles subject to recent book bans and challenges. According to Weissenberg: “The image is a digital composite of rainbows taken from famous paintings executed during the last 400 years, sourced from royalty-free databases. It is a celebration of the rainbow throughout the ages—a natural phenomenon that stands as a proxy for calm, hope, and happiness and has been adopted since the 1970s by the LGBTQ community as a symbol of pride.” All proceeds benefit the Books & Books Literary Foundation’s urgent fight for the right to read.
