This pair of early aluminum chairs were commissioned as part of the refurnishing and modernization of the main Chrysler/ DeSoto showroom in Detroit. This was in conjunction with Chrysler's introduction in 1934 of the Airflow, the first American aero-dynamically designed car.   Aluminum with vinyl upholstery.
